Voorhees Swim Club (VSC) is the only outdoor summer swim club in Voorhees with membership of nearly 200 families. We are seeking two pool managers and several guards for the summer season. Certifications Preferred: CPO (for manager), Lifeguard, and CPR (for all).

MANAGER:

Job Summary: Manages coordination of pool personnel and pool activities. Supervises safe, clean and appealing club swimming facility. Term: Pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Position begins in early May to get pool ready and runs through the closing of the pool Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise operation and upkeep of all pool equipment
  • Confirm compliance with all government health mandates and guidelines
  • Perform chemical analysis and application (CPO)
  • Supervise lifeguards – help in hiring, manage daily activities, and monitor activity
  • Maintain schedules and payrolls
  • Coordinate pool events and parties
  • Direct cleaning of the pool and upkeep of all pool equipment and facilities, pool chairs, garbage, bathrooms and pool office
  • Provide necessary orientation and training for staff
  • Manage front desk responsibilities – Check In and Check Out attendance
  • Enforce club rules of safety and conduct
  • Maintain and keep all necessary records concerning pool attendance, pool chemicals, accident reports, schedules, time cards, etc.
  • Orders and manages all supplies; including chemicals, snack stand and bathrooms
  • Provide a high level of customer service and communication with membership, vendor and guests

GUARD:

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring of activities in pool to ensure safety of members
  • Ensure safety of members both in and out of the water
  • Ensure member adherence to rules and code of conduct
  • Maintenance of the facility including restroom cleaning and trash removal
  • Other functions outlined in the lifeguard manual
  • Other duties assigned by VSC management

The season:

Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day.

Weekends only from 12pm-8pm until the end of the school year.

Then daily 12pm-8pm through Labor Day.
